I've used pond and ramshorn snails for this very purpose. Especially since most fry should never be hungry, I don't think you can over feed fry. Never used a nerite though.

I'm having trouble uploading images.... tried on multiple browsers and devices. Upload Errors DSC_0400.jpg: This is not a valid image file. Tried with photos from mulitple sources, even went to command line and renamed the files... same thing.
