    Lights on During the day?

    Planted tanks, so all my lights are a on timers ... 3-10pm. This only changes on the weekend where I manually turn on the timers for most of the day so I can watch me fish.

    Love Feeding Time ..

    The parents were my first cichlids and they were from Frank also. It has taken them about 6-7 months to get to this point. I have gone through several different types of dither fish, but in the end it was the peppered cory cats that did the number for me.

    Thanks, I got a good look at the cave yesterday and there were about 20-30 fry in there. This morning, two of the fry were outside the cave, and two more were at the entrance that is until DAD come back :) They are so skinny .......

    Well I defnitely have baby BNs in the cave. It's in a community tank (5 BNs 5 Albino Corry Cats and 11 juvies angels), so should I pull the cave and put it in a breeder box. Shining a light into the cave, I can see them and they are a bigger than normal fry, should I just let nature take it's...

    Ok, sounds like sometime this month, I should try and start switching them over to flake/pellet food. One more question, I've been feeding them 3 times a day, at what stage can I drop that down to 2 feeding a day???

    Ok, it looks like I have one of my regular BNs has been in a cave for a couple days now. All I basically see is his tail, when I shine a light into the cave, it looks like he's fanning something in there ... is it safe to assume that he has a spawn in there??

    I like angelfish, but I find that you almost have to pry information out of long time breeders/owners and have yet to really find a website that gives out non-angelfish speak to a newbie keeper ... sorry I wasn't much help ... just needed to rant.

    Apparent death, but missing a body

    I have a tank with guppies and platies that is fully planted and if one of them dies, I really won't know unless the body floats or is at the front of the tank.
