FLASH SALE!!!

CCA Members
It's time to do another quick turnaround, Barry Allen / Wally West / Jay Garrick / Bart Allen style Flash Sale, just with less time travel.

Items must be ordered between NOW and 5 PM 27 October 2016 (That's a Thursday). No late orders will be taken. Orders must include a complete payment via PayPal to BatfishAquatics@gmail.com. If you need an invoice or need help with PayPal, please place your order sooner. If you have questions about a fish or such, please ask them soon, so that there's time left to get an answer and place your order. :) Please e-mail me questions; I may not see the forum in time.

All fish are wild, and coming direct from Peru. They will be available to pickup late 7 November, 2016 in Silver Spring, MD until and at the CCA meeting. You can pickup at the CCA meeting, or anytime during the week. Earliest pickups get choice fishes.

Please order decent numbers of inexpensive fishes; I probably can't get you three $1.25 tetras. :) There is a minimum of $25 per person. I cannot sex these fish; sexes will be random. Remember, you need at least 6 fish to have a better than 95% chance of at least one pair. With Apistos and similar, feel free to substitute (e.g., "I really want bitaeniata blue, but will take bitaeniata red.").

Some amazing fish on here!

As Josh said, they're coming straight from Peru...so I wouldn't suggest dropping them in with other fish without quarantine.

That said, I've got some room and I'll be in :)

I would never put fish in a display or stock tank without quarantine, regardless of source! :) Even if its something that's been floating around here for six months, I'd still recommend you quarantine it. I just had a customer drop a 1200 gallon tanks entire stock because he had to have a powder blue tang that a (different) aquarium store had had in "quarantine" for eight weeks. Most incredibly virulent strain of ich I've ever seen.....

It's a matter of choice. Most stuff will show up within 7-days, but this is only the really obvious stuff (bacterial infections, ich, columnaris, etc.). Internal parasites and such will take significantly longer to show up -- up to 3-4 weeks. Generally, I find a 7-day quarantine, with a prophylactic dose of a dewormer (prazi, safeguard, whatever) in there, especially for wild fish.

I'm still quarantining the fish i got from the BFD4. Of course to make them more comfortable i added some rock work and drift wood for them to hide in. And to help with water quality i added some plants. Now that i'm thinking about it, it might not be quarantine tank anymore. :)
Which is the reason i don't have any more room for any of these Flash sale fish.

More often than not, the tank I'm using for quarantine becomes the forever tank for the fish. Quarantining for a couple few weeks can't hurt.

I start wild fish with some Melafix, Pimafix, alder cones, salt and feeding Ken's medicated flakes with garlic...
