Muriatic Acid to drop PH

So has anyone any positive experiences with using muriatic acid as a water softener for breeding tetras?

Dropping pH isn't the same as softening water. It's easier to lower the pH of soft water and using acid to lower it can work temporarily but doesn't remove mineral hardness from water and it tends to bounce back up.

I’m testing now then I’ll add tannin RO water and test that I’m just experimenting right now. I’m still use old fashioned methods
