Hey All, There was some flickering and then everything went out in just 3 seconds. I operate 2 AC 110's on my 55 gallons. The motor in one AC appears to be gone. No hum or anything. Does this sound like the motor went up? If so, what can I do with the sponge and bag of ceramic media bag...

I've had my AC110 set up for almost 2 years and there's been an increasing amount of motor noise coming from both units, and one of them completely stopped this weekend. I removed motor and cleaned the impeller and shaft. The shaft had enough wear on it that I'm certain that is the problem...

Long story short had one of my fx5s stop working, clogged with sand and after a cleaning it still didn't work so I assumed the motor was dead and ordered a new one, as I was taking it off i plugged the old unit in to the wall just to see and low and behold she worked....so I have an extra brand...
