attaching

Hey folks, what is safe for use in the aquarium for attaching live plants to wood. I am also going to suspend a branch or two of wood from the surface, probably from an uptake tube. Other than zip-ties, what do you all use?

I have found that a lot of my fish seem to enjoy the cover of floating plants (fake in my case). This usually comes about because they are not fond of me actually "planting" them in substrate. I don't mind the look of the floating plants, but I would like for them to be more orderly instead of...
