Batfish Group Buy

Hey Folks,

I'm starting to put together the list for AquaMania group orders. First off, anything that is currently IN STOCK on Our Stock List will be 20% off the list price (excludes already discounted items, including group discounts. If something is $5 or 10 for $45, you would get 20% off of 10 * $5 = $40). This is limited only to instock fish, and we do have limited numbers of these. Please order quickly to ensure that you'll get the fish you request. Please also tell me what day you wish to pick the fish up at AquaMania. You must be a registered AquaManiac to get the 20% discount. You do not need to prepay for these fishes.

Secondly, this is a great pre-order list of available fish and other animals. In order to order off the BELOW list, you must get an order into me by no later than Tuesday, 2/25/14. You must also PayPal a 50% deposit to BatfishAquatics@gmail.com. Lastly, please tell me when you wish to pick up the fish -- Saturday, Sunday, etc. Again, you must be a registered AquaManiac.

If enough people order, the prices may drop on these, and this will be reflected when I collect the remainder.

Please do NOT ORDER IN THIS THREAD, or by PM. Send an e-mail to BatfishAquatics@gmail.com

I'll take an emerald crab
Are the polypterus wild caught or captive bred? Also, how big are they?

Most polypterus in the hobby, and all the ones on my list, are captive bred. :)

Guys, when it comes to sizing on these, I haven't seen the fish -- the pre-order stuff is all tanked overseas, and will be coming in once ordered. The fish are going to come in at about an average size for what you'd find in most aquarium stores (if they offered these fish, or of a similar species). Unless I specified size (i.e., medium, large, show, etc.), they're going to be at about an average, juvenile size for that species. Just know that no one has ever been disappointed in my size.

As such, I also cannot get you a female tinfoil barb -- and yes, someone did just e-mail me to ask that one. :-D Generally, fish come in with approximately equal sex ratios where it matters (I have no idea whatsoever how many male lemon tetras are in a shipment. :). If you order 2 fish, you'll "probably" get a pair....

All the fish on the stock list at BatfishAquatics.com are currently in stock -- I'm out of a few things thanks to our friends in Raleigh, but not most. :)

Josh, the good news is that your post will be scanned by search engines and the words/phrases "sex" and "Just know that no one has ever been disappointed in my size" will be recognized. That should drum up traffic for the CCA forum.

Did I warn you guys that I would be adding to this list? Well, here's an addition.

Please note that the cut off for any fish on this list the Monday, the 24th, at NOON.
You must make a 50% deposit to secure the fish, via PayPal, to BatfishAquatics@gmail.com. This list has some nice odds and ends on it, but some quick comments. All of the cichlids and rainbowfish are bred by a friend of mine, and they are SMALL. You're looking at 1-2" fish on both categories. If you want cheaper fish, this is the list to order off of. If you want more colour or size, order off the one in the initial post. The rainbowfish on this list, while a lot less expensive, are probably 6-12 months away from looking anything but bait. :) Similarly, the cichlids are going to be an inch long fish. For those of you wondering about inches, these fish will probably sit comfortably on your thumbnail ... hey, am I going to get more traffic talking about inches? :-D

The Pleco Selection is the best in the universe, as far as I'm concerned. Some very, very cool fish, and the pricing is good. These are wild imports, not tank bred, though they've been tanked, quarantined, and fattened.

I actually also have a palette of manzanita wood coming in.... I'll let everyone else make all the jokes about how long my wood is. :-D

Just a reminder, please let me know which of the lists you're ordering off of -- the IN STOCK list at BatfishAquatics.com/freshwater.php, the first pre-order list or the second pre-order list, or the upcoming third pre-order list. :-D Also, please do not order via PM or in the thread -- I have about 20 forums to keep up with, and it is just too easy to lose something. Please E-mail to BatfishAquatics@gmail.com any orders. And, lastly, if you are ordering off the pre-order lists, we do need a 50% deposit by the closing time stated. :-D
