Sandblasting sand there's two kinds one is zinc or aluminum oxide that's no good but the other is a silica sand.

Danny's pool and patio center in Crofton.
They carry the Mystic White II pool filter sand. Last time I bought it, it cost 12.95 for a 50 lb bag. It is really white.

We really like the white Granusil sand around here. Not sure where you would buy it on the east coast though.
Industrial sand used for sandblasting. Silica based and great for fish.
