How big should they be before giving them a new home? Are they also slow-growing? So, probably not ready by the Jan meeting?

They're not especially slow-growing - faster than peacocks.
They'd need some more growing out before they went into a 4' tank and I certainly would not put them in with any piscivores for a while.
