I'd try to find something blue and a little smaller for a 29g. Electric blues get big.

Saulosi or msobo deep would be a good choice; you'd get blue and orange colors, and they're better suited for a 29g. Blue johanni, or maingano, would be another choice that could be fine long term.

Maingano will get a bit too big for a 29. Mine are up to 5" for the males and are extraordinarily active.

My 125 will be up by the end of the month. I also picked up 2x55 gallons that I'm setting up this weekend. I was looking for juveniles to give me a little time to setup the larger tanks. Would they breed happily in the 55 or should I plan on setting up my 125 as a breeder for electric blue alhi?
