125 in my office?

I'm thinking of adding a larger tank in my office. The house was built in the mid 1950s and seems structurally sound for sure. Is it safe to have a 125 without any support underneath? There will be no way to brace the floor from below in that room.

Provided that the tank is against an exterior wall, or an otherwise load bearing wall, and runs perpendicular to the joists, a 125 is not going to be too much.

Thanks Josh. The tank will be on an exterior wall and the joists run in a direction where the tank will be spread out over several of them. I was assuming a 125 would be no big deal.

I wouldn't give it a second thought.

Unless I was right below it, that is. ;)
