Tomorrow night, in Takoma Park, MD, 6:30 pm:
Politics & Prose at Busboys and Poets Takoma welcomes Jonathan Balcombe to present the new book "What a Fish Knows: The Inner Lives of Our Underwater Cousins."
Using the latest research by animal behaviorists and biologists to show that fish don’t just drift mindlessly on currents of instinct, Balcombe shows how they communicate, bond, and cooperate with each other in complex ways. Balcombe, author of Pleasurable Kingdom, is an ethologist and director of animal sentience with the Humane Society Institute for Science and Policy.
