I have never seen Pelvicachromis eggs, because they are always hidden away in a cave. I'd be patient and hope for the best, but sometimes it takes fish a few tries to get it right.

Thread resurrection. They ate the eggs right after they hatched, the female's tube is down and both are showing off and chasing other fish away. Take 2!

That's good news. I would suggest you leave them alone(other than feeding) if every thing stays calm you will probably have free swimmers soon.

I want to do a small water change and feed bloodworms and krill. Last time this encouraged a spawn the next day. Do you think this is okay?

They eat more veggie than meat in the wild so I didn't feed worms with mine

I think they spawned. The female is thinner, and the male brighter. It is very hard to tell, though.

Thanks. It's pretty cool, the male barricades then trance at night and covers the whole hut in Java moss. The female with stay in and fan the eggs while the male patrols all night. Pretty devout parents!
