The male is F1 from Mr. Mann Cichlids.

Now for the Blackbelt. He or she is about 5" and seriously aggressive. Can't house it with any tankmates.

Thanks Dan. I'm new to the forum. Been keeping fish for approximately 3 years. Done lots of research on these Umbee. On the hunt for an upgrade now. Need a 220 or larger.

Those fish look amazing! Imo, black belts are one of the more underated fish in their genus. I've kept a few in the past and they always are the first to eat and they always would follow me around the tank.

Nice fish! I was unaware that Mr. Mann had any wild umbees? But he knows his fish better than me. It just so happens I have 2 (220) gallon tanks I need to part ways with. Both were used to keep very large umbees. If you are local shoot me a text 240-372-0601

The male is about 10". Sad to say, he killed the female yesterday... no good.

Love my Blackbelt, he's been with me since 1.5" , now at 6".
