Hello from Canada,

I have just setup my 75 gallons with melanochromis joahannii gome, labidochromins mbamba, hemichromis red jewel, and cirtocara blue dolphin. All together I have 20 cichlid in my tank.

I just find out my red jewel female is about to lay eggs, and I was just wondering if I should put the pair in an other tank alone, or is it ok to leave them there.

Welcome to the forum!

I'd definitely move the jewels if you want to keep any fry. They are good at protecting their fry to an extent, but with those fast and big guys in the tank, will likely be overpowered.
