When making your plans don't forget the upcoming

Catfish convention right here in Maryland.

Again this year the Potomac Valley Aquarium Society is hosting the Catfish convention.

In 2006 it was bigger than 2004 and this year should be bigger yet.

http://www.catfish2008.com/

The site will be up soon.

The site should be up and running although they are still working on a couple of the links. Its functional though, so go check it out.

Thanks
Rob

Looks like most of it is working now.

I should be signing up in the next month.

Looks like the fish show will include non-catfish again, so I will be entering a few things. How about you.

I still have a pretty good looking BIG yellow peacock that looks even better now then he did back in October. Probably because he pretty much has a 120g to himself except for a couple other smaller peacocks and catfish and clown loaches. :confused0083:

Bobby, I remember your fish from last year and he was huge and beautiful. I think this year is going to be very competitive and I believe you might win with that Yellow Peacock. What kind of Yellow Peacock is he? Is he a Lemon Jake, Undu Reef, Maleri, or a AJ Baenschi Sunshine?

I had a great time at last years convention and it was the very first time that I showed one of my fish. I was reluctant to do so, but Pat and Franny kinda convinced me and it was a great learning experience.

I look forward to this years Catfish convention! :D

I promise that I have the BIGGEST catfish known to mankind - is there a prize for that????

T.M.S.[/b]
Without bringing it to the show and putting it into a tank it's all just Bush, er bullstuff - you know. We gotta see it.

All I know is that the Class IV-e should be a big one.
If I make it, I have 6 or so to put in. Nothing earth shattering but what the heck.

Its always fun.

Class IV: Cichlids
a. Pterophyllum
b. Symphysodon
c. New World Large (Over 4 mature)
d. New World Dwarf (Under 4 mature)
e. Malawi, Victoria, and Tanganyika
f. All other Old World large cichlids (Over 4 mature)
g. All other Old World dwarf cichlids (Under 4 mature)

Paul,

I keep telling you, I used to tickle that cat's belly. He's a pussy-cat at heart.
Maybe it just takes the right woman's touch.

We're looking for some AWESOME CCA entries in the fish show... I know there's good cats out there... Plus all the cichlids too.

100+ people are now registered, not including speakers and special guests. This one's gonna be HUGE!

I just entered 10 fish in one class. All class IVe. Cichlids, Malawi, Victoria, Tanganyika. lol
Course having all in the same class sort of limits my possibilities. Need to come up with some fish for other classes. Spread the love so to speak. lol

May have a couple more and possibly a picture or two.
