Substitute for glass tank covers?

Is that eggcrate or a plastic cover? It looks like eggcrate in the picture but it won't do a close up so I can't be sure.

I think it's a plastic cover, but all you see is the eggcrate it's sitting on.

I went to Home Depot and bought it in-store. It's in the "bathroom" aisle, not in the lighting department, because that makes perfect sense...

Lol! Typical Home Depot... I do almost all my shopping online with counter pick up b/c HD is such a pain to shop at.
