When Do Cyps Start Coloring Up?

Hello

I have a new tank and all of my cyps are either juvies or younger.

At what age/size do the males usually start showing any color?

I don't even know the ratio I have and although it's exciting to see what I end up with, it's hard to plan on getting more when I don't know what I have.

Thanks,

Stephen

One of the Kitumba I bought was about an inch and a half when I got it. It's now about two inches and is just starting to color.

It looks solid blue with a yellow tail, but hard to be sure because it's just starting.

Exciting though. Pics later if anyone's interested.

Here he is. At least I know I have at least one male out of 11 cyps!

Nice! Since they are small adding more of the same size won't be a problem you just won't be able to pick the M/F ratio of the new additions. Too many males won't be a problem for a while as the males will chase each other, for the most part.
