My first diy canister filter

Here it is the start of my first diy horizontal canister filter. Once I get these measured out a dry fitted I will finish getting measurements for the rest of the pipe. Then the second stage will begin.

Pump placement

May be too late for you to consider this, but if I were you I'd keep the pump outside of the filter, and place it in the tank, like can be done with the Cobalt E X T canister filter.

Yeah thats exactly what I was planning. Running a submersible pump on one side and the out feed on the other end of the tank

Matt beat me to it. Was going to suggest the same thing with the pump in the tank.

Love my Cobalt canister filter!
