DIY Food

so yesterday i drove up to Discus Hans to get my first Discus and i ended up getting 4 of them. While i was there he was making his own food that he feeds to his fish and was telling me about it. so when i got home i decided to try it for my self and made a small batch. its probably not exactly the way Hans made it but it has the same ingredients. Anyway i fed it to the Discus this morning and they went crazy over it, well all of my fish did. has anyone ever made their own fish food?

I make my own Discus food

from what he told me it is equal parts shrimp, peas, tilapia, and lean beef. i used a steak i found at safeway for cheep. and his flake food.
