Bowfins

$25 is a good price for them. I will be getting two for my 55gl this week :)

Bowfin in general can thrive in water as warn as 90* they are all over the place in florida, not sure which locality these are from but I would imagine if these are a population from the north, they wouldn't adjust well to super warm temps long term. Worth a try though

THere are plenty of bowfins in the rivers of West Virginia. Particularly the Poca River and Kanawha River. THey do grow to 3 feet. ANd they do jump out of aquariums. I had one on public display and lost it. It was on the floor one morning after a couple weeks with no problems.

Living in these rivers also means the bowfins can handle temperatures where the water has ice on it and temperatures related to hot slowly moving water in mid summer.
