That's a might big fish. I believe it's eaten in Hawaii and other places, under the name moonfish.
Very cool that it has a heat exchanger in its gills.

You know, I think we might have eaten some in the last year or so, probably while traveling. I remember looking up what an opah was.

I think it must have been on the menu of a chain restaurant in central Florida, perhaps Bonefish Grill. And I don't think we actually ate it, but I can't be sure.

But I had no idea it was special. I remember looking it up a few days later, because I'd never heard of an opah.

I heard eating warm blooded fish makes you grow hair on your chest. Can't find any data to back that up though:D:D:D
