That's an interesting idea Craig. It would be really cool to put together a master list of all fish owned by the club.

I think it is a great idea and have always wondered why "we" don't have it.
I would suggest some CCA online spreadsheet we all have access to, maybe google docs.
Sort by fish species. Next to each species are columns with breeders' names.
Then if a breeder has juvies ready to go he could modify his info anytime and add the number of fish and price asked and maybe highlight the field in green. If they are close to ready, the field could be yellow or something to give folks a heads up. He/she could also add where the parents came from, Daves, wild, whatever, etc.
I find it time consuming to scan the individual lists and posts on here to get a feel for what is out there.
Just my 2 cents. I'd even maybe, perhaps, perchance volunteer to set up an initial database but I'd probably need a "mentor" on all the various species/variants that I am not familiar with.

I think an online document that can be modified is a great idea. something that can be sorted alphabetically.

is there a wiki type option available on this website? for initial list it would make it easier to allow people to add fish. also a good idea to have username associated with all the fish.

I think there should be 2-3 people in charge of the online spreadsheet.

I have created a real quick and dirty version thru google docs. will send the link to anyone who volunteers to maintain it.

going forward it would be a good idea for everyone to provide the full spelling (correct) for the fish in the following format:

scientific name - common name

I would think this would be limited to breeding groups only, right?
