Carib Sea Blue Iguana Desert Bone Rock in fish tank?

I brought something called Desert Bone rock. It is apparently is calcium carbonate. I think that means it is either limestone or coral skeleton.

Would this be good for a Malawi tank?

+1 That's what I was thinking. Did you try Caribsea's website or 800 number? They might know for sure, but IMO you're good to go.

I thought it looked like Texas Holey Rock, but the guy said it was coral. I don't think that would really make a big difference chemically.

I think chemically it would be the same. I just wanted a sanity check since it was marketed for reptiles. I wanted to make sure it wouldn't raise the pH to 9 or something crazy like that.

It will raise your ph/kh... but not to 9....
