Who Should I Call

OK, I'm a new member, but I've got some spawns which occured and now have free-swimming fry from all three. Can I get someone to verify these spawns? I live over in Montgomery County near Lakeforest, if that helps. The three spawns for which I now have free-swimming fry (all with their parents) are:

Neolamprologus gracilis
Aequidens tetramarus (wild caught, purchased at the last meeting)
Steatocranus tinanti (yet again)

I need more tanks!

I leave the house at about 6:00 am and don't get back home until about 5:30 PM. So I'm home from 5:30 (usually) on.

Not a big deal. I was just thinking about it, but I'll probably not do much with a BAP since my style is to keep species for multiple generations instead of continually switching them in and out.

What about the weekend? The first Saturday in Feb is good for me. How about you? The BAP program is setup so that you only have to prove 3 fry (depending on the species) for your 30 or 60 day verification ( depending on the species) OR sell a bag of six at the auction after your 30 or 60 day check. Either way you will have plenty to satisfy your multi generational program.

The first Saturday in February sound fine. That would be a week from tomorrow, Feb 7. Just send me an email at bizecology@aol.com and I'll send detailed instructions on how to get here.

There's always a possibility that I'll have a spawn of dwarf pikes as well <grin>.

Moving away from Cichlids, I have one of the rarest fish in the hobby right now. It's a very attractive barb that's only found in cool water mountain streams in one province of India. The common name is "The Red Torpedo Barb."

I can help out with this come Saturday, if that is needed/would help, etc. After all, I live in Mont. Co. (which would save you a drive, right, Francine?).
Larry, I don't know whether we've met, but the full moon has passed so it should be ok.

As for breeding a lot of fish, are there any good ones, or are they all like those funny-looking things swimming around in bogs that Francine has?

Not that there's anything wrong with that. . . .

Yep, Larry has got some nice fish.* (Killies, too.)

Actually, the killies were quite impressive, and those RTBs are even more impressive than they appear in the photograph. Nice size, shape and coloring.

But, if you go for a look/visit, don't drink the water! I mean, *everything* he's got seems to be breeding, so it's gotta be the water, right?!?
