Need Water Polisher

I am interested in getting either a basic Magnum 350 or a 250 convertible canister filter (with micron filter) to use as a water polisher.

I thought I would see if anyone here has one they would like to sell, before I go out and buy one.

I have a diotom filter that is sitting in the garage.

The only thing I know about them is that they use some kind of powder. Can you tell more about it, and how it works. I'd like to do some research before I decide so if you know what brand it is that will help too. Thanks alot.

Hey tgrogan,

The powder you are referring to is called diatomaceous earth. It is basically ground up fossilized stone. The powder is very fine and porous so it traps the tiny bits that clouds water. :D
