Hello!
My name is Ruth and have finally discovered the world of African Cichlids! I can't believe I've found not only a Maryland-based forum/website, but a whole CLUB that meets about 5 minutes from where I grew up!!

I grew up off of Randolph Road, towards New Hampshire Ave. Went to Springbrook HS, even though Kennedy was actually closer. My mother still lives there, although I live outside of Annapolis.
Right now, in a 55g, I have 4 Yellow Labs (unknown genders), 3 Msobo (1M/2F), a Labeotropheus of some sort and an Acei, I think. The last two came out of the dreaded "mixed Africans" tank, and are probably hybrids, before I knew what I was doing. Fortunately, they weren't killers, like the Kenyi that I just took back to the LFS on Saturday. So, I'm looking to fill out the stock in this tank with 2 more F Msobo, maybe 3 Acei, and another handful of the Yellow Labs. Not planning to sell anything out of that tank.
Then, assuming all goes well, I have a 125g tank in the garage that is waiting for a triumphant return to the living room, to be filled with more beautiful Africans!!! Right now it sits empty - long story, but the short version is that a leaky canister on a hardwood floor forced me to empty the tank and move it outside. The fish went to the LFS.
