Club Discounts

I would to put together a club discount program, working with local shops, to direct buying of fish related items. I would like input from club members, on how best to meet your needs. Your responces will determine if and how this program will run.

I like the idea. The Washington, DC Area Marine Aquarium Societ (www.wamas.org) has such a program and the discounts are printed on the club membership card, which must be shown to get the discount.

We need discounts at local fish stores. Do you forsee that happening?

I think it's possible if we could market it to them with "what they get out of it" as the focus. We can all find cheaper alternatives on-line, but not dealing with delivery and instant gratification is something many of us find appealing. I', thinking something like:

20% off livestock with a $20 dry good purchase. I am sure there are other alternatives, but this gets us a good deal on fish if we buy a fair amount. They move livestock and dry goods, as well as get more visitors. We all win!

This can be reversed and altered accordingly if someone is thinking "what about a deal on dry goods?"
