Thank you James.

Okay Ladies and Gents.

These fish are being donated to the club.

They are flying in on Friday and I am picking them up. I will then rebag and bring to the meeting on Saturday.
So bring money. We need to cover the shipping and then take advantage of this great donation by our long distance member.

This is a very nice list of a lot of fish I will be bidding on. If we get a lot of people at the auction I am sure these will go for prices that will more than account for shipping costs and hopefully help the club as well. Thanks to the donater for sending such nice specimens.

You Marylanders! You do know there are other states in the union? *Laughing* Like, maybe Virginia?

No fish for me this time, don't have a tank for them :angry3: I seriously need more tanks.

Hahahahaha! You'd lose a member 'cause my hubby would surely kill me! I just spent about $300 on a tank last week but I am working on him for a fish room in the basement :o Just need to convince him it will be cheaper in the long run.

Exact list of what was sent:
(10) Aulonocara sp. Ruby Red .25-.50 (show strain; father placed 2nd 2008 ACA) I know they are small but give them time and put them in a 10 gallon tank and watch them grow!!
(12) Aulonocara sp. Lwanda Red Top .25-50 (show strain; same strain placed 3rd in 2008 Aca)
1m/1f Copadichromis Mloto Ivoryhead "likoma" (Likoma Island variant)
1m/2f Tramitochromis (formerly Lethrinops) Intermedius
1m/1f Leopard Loach (do now know scientific name)
6 Gymnogeophagus sp. Blue Neon
3 Gymnogeophagus sp. Orange
(10) Nimbochromis Fuscotaniatus (males already showing some color @ 1.5-2"
2 Chiloptilapia Rhodesii Males about 3" or so showing some color
1 Champsochromis Careleus 6.5-7" Showing Color
1 Paratilapia sp. Polleni 7"+
1 Paratilapia Bleekeri 6"
1 Boulengerochromis Microlepsis 7"
1 Placidochromis Milomo VC10 Male 5-6"
1m/2f Placidochromis Johnstoni Kachimungi 4"
1m/1f Protomelas Spilontous Sulferhead Hap 5"
1 Blue Dolphin Male 5"
1 Fossochromis Rostratus Male 5"
1 Buccochromis cf. Spectabilis Male 4"
1 Albino Dimidochromis Compressicep 4-5" Unsexed
1 Exochromis Anagenys Male 6"+
1 Protomelas Spilontus-Tanz "Insignus" Male 5-6"
1 Nimbochromis Venustus Male 5"

All fish were feed NLS 3mm & 5mm Thera A and Regular Cichlid food; smaller fry were feed HBH Growth flake food.

A couple of things:
The Paratilapia species really need to be in a large tank with large inhabitants. They usually aren't too mean to other fish just to there same kind. They will lip lock if the are in a tank with each other just to show dominance but other then that they are pretty even kieled. They lived in a 125g tank with a few others of the same species.

The champsochromis will get up to a foot long so a LONG tank is needed, depth of the tank doesn't really matter as they like to swim back and forth. He'll be full color in about 3-6 weeks if not sooner!

The Placidochromsi Milomo VC10 comes from a show strain and will be gorgeous as he matures. They get a nice blue/purple body with some really big lips for a domesticated fish! They are really tame too as they are really just interested in eating.

The boulengerochromsi Microlepsis will get up to 36" and will BECOME a monster so a tank size of aT LEAST 240g would be needed to correctly house this guy!

The rest are pretty self explanatory. If you need help or have any questions feel free to pm me or email me!

ENJOY!!

There will be two groups of Hap sp '44's in the auction. I think I will also put in a group of Hap ruby greens. These are all adults and have spawned for me. I suspect I will bring some more Archocentrus centrarcus since folks seemed to like them last time.

The two Haps are quite pretty. I have no pictures bet you could look them up on the web.
