I was begining to dispair that there were no cichlid associations in the area! The first link I found for you guys was invalid, but found a good one at the PVAS site - I was lurking there.

My tanks.. well I have 3 55 gallon tanks - one is a recovering salt tank two are filled with Jack Dempseys. Somehow I ended up with a mated pair. So, one has the pair and about 100 or so 4 week old fry, the other has about 70 or so juvies growing out - a 15 gallon with 6 of the growouts to keep it cycled for the next brood and a 64g bowfront with about 20 gallons we call the teraquarium that houses the first surviving fry - he's now a lovely 6 inches! Oh, and two bettas lol

Maybe you can tell my fav. cichlid is the Jack Dempsey? Recently, someone pointed me in the direction of the apistos and I'm thinking they would make a lovely addition to my teraquarium once i get Jr. a new home and the water parms right for them.

So, now you know all about my tanks!

Welcome to the forum. Very small apistos like borelli or gephyra. Or why not try dicrossus?

Thanks for the welcome :-) Not had much time to poke around - Noticed this morning my female JD was wearing her breeding colors - had a temp fluctuation. Saw dad snag one of the fry so I had to pull them. Very glad I had a tank on the ready.

Hello,
Welcome to the CCA forum. Jack Dempseys are a fun fish to keep. Lots of personality.

Hope to see you at the monthly meetings.
