Okay guys you may have to go into UserCP, click edit options and turn on the PM, I had to.

I had to go to User CP and set up PM as well.
Also, it says 'PM 100% full'.
Have you changed the limit of messages one is able to save?

The settings are different on this one. Also it shows a lot of your old ones probably. I had like 40pms saved on the old one. When I logged in here I had over 400 and I was full too. Most were ones I deleted a year ago. They must have been on the server still. Some also said I sent when I actually recieved them. lol
You may have a bunch there. I think it is set for 100 saved PM's

I had the same problem with PM's, lots of old ones were showing up.

Luckily I could just delete all of mine and start from scratch!

Everytime I come back to the forum, it shows the same threads as being unread. It is not remembering that I have already read them.

Try to redo it under your User CP and see if it shows up.

Some sigs and avatars may not work.

Hey everybody, the new forum is up and running. I know there are bugs, and we all want to get it up and running, but in our haste, let's not forget to say thank you to Pat and Li for all their hard work in modernizing and improving the Forum. They've been working hard all weekend to get things up and running. Keep in mind that it's a volunteer effort--they're doing all this on our behalf without payment.

The CCA has become a truly great local club. Once a month we stop by, catch up with friends, eat great food, hear great speakers, and bid on some neat fish.

The Forum has become intergral to that fellowship, helping us to keep in touch and compare notes between meetings.

Thank you, Pat and Li, for all your hard work!

I love VB. it is my favorite bb. :D

I know you said there will be some more layouts. I saw the aqua default, and the black. but they both have very very small fonts. The only one easy to read is Pat's. Is there a way to change just that? or can there be a layout with it bigger?

also something to think about in the future.. VB has an option (plug in maybe?) for paid subscriptions. Maybe there would be a way to set it up so people could renew thier membership that way? I don't know how practical for you that would be, but it would be neat :D

It was originally thought that photos in signatures would not work, but it seems they do.

Personally, I find them very distracting when they are large photos. They take up bandwidth and it is just that much more stuff to scroll through when reading a post. I do not mind small photos of about the same size the avatars are.

You mean besides the fact that it's in your post and not in your sig, so anytime anyone quotes you it will pull in the pic as well? :D

Yes please, the baby blue on fading baby blue background with baby blue accents is pretty painful....

I don't think the problem with the skins is the color. I think the fonts are just too small.

Neither of the skins offer enough contrast in the shades for my liking. The Black needs white fonts (instead of light gray), and the aqua is too light against the white.

Mike, your right about the size of the fonts.

I know this is a much better server, but we have to get the skins tweaked a bit. :rolleyes:

Yeah. I set up a forum (phpbb though) a while back. I didn't do as much on it as my husband since he actually knows programming stuff. but I remember it took him days to get the colors and stuff I asked for.
